Steady as she goes
"Steady as she goes" is the name of the Norwegian Government's Maritime Strategy. It was presented on October 1, 2007. The Government's vision is that Norway shall be a "world leading maritime nation and that the Norwegian Maritime industries will deliver the most innovative and environmental friendly solutions for the future".
The Strategy outlines five main challenges for the Maritime sector:
- Globalisation and framework conditions
- Environmental friendly maritime industries
- Maritime Competence
- Maritime Research
- Innovation and Shortsea Shipping
